ABOUT US . . .

Dr. Carol was introduced to natural and alternative health after the birth of her first child--when her hair began falling out and she needed weekly vitamin shots! After asking her physician wasn't there another way to get vitamins, he responded, "Well, you could get them by eating the right foods!"

What a concept!!  Getting healthy by eating foods!

Hippocrates--You remember him: He wrote the Hippocratic oath that doctors take, "First, do no harm."  Well, he also said, "Let your medicine be your food and your food be your medicine!"

As a child Dr. Carol remembers being sickly: tonsillectomy, continuous sore throats, ear infections, constipation, caries (tooth decay), bronchitis, fainting, rheumatoid arthritis--all this before graduating high school! The only time she was healthy was the three years that she and her family lived in the country and raised their own food! Yes, Hippocrates knew what he was talking about!

Dr. Carol has lived an alternative live style while raising her family, and after seeing much of America becoming sick(ly), overweight and under nourished--not to mention stressed out! She decided to study natural health, and become a Naturopathic Doctor so that she could help other women to live as healthy as possible, not only for themselves, but also for their family.  She knew she could really make a positive difference in women's lives!

Dr. Carol has a Master's Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Spiritual Care, a Doctor of Naturopathy from Clayton College of Natural Health, as well as a degree in homeopathy. She has studied Nutrition, Digestion, Herbology, Iridology, plus studies in Inner Healing, helping women to heal from mental, physical, and spiritual abuse.  At Trillium Wellness Center you will find a safe, supportive space to connect with other women like yourself, to share your story without shame, and to find comfort and strategies for living through loss to VICTORY!
